Practice Philosophy
Our office philosophy can be summed up as “total patient care.” Our doctors and staff believe that good dental health is not just about the inside of the mouth and the condition of the teeth. There are many factors that affect the health of a patient. Such things as anxiety, stress, environment, job and exercise are all elements that play a role in a person’s life. These are also elements that play a part in overall health and well-being and are factors that the doctors consider when evaluating each patient.
In this dental office, patients are likely to spend as much time talking to the doctors and staff as having their mouths open for examination. The doctors believe that a healthy mouth, gums and teeth require more than just regular brushing and exams. Good nutrition, dietary habits and exercise are important. Preventive care protects against disease and decay in an early stage.
Each patient should require individual attention for his or her particular situation. One size does not fit all. There are many options available today for procedures and treatment of dental conditions. That is why they place such importance on evaluating the best treatment suitable for that patient.
The attention to individual care is not limited to the doctors. Each member of the staff shares this philosophy of care. That is why they are listening to what the patient says, answering questions and paying attention to the person in the chair or waiting room. This begins when the patient makes an appointment and continues through the visit and follow-up. Our staff believes that little things are important as big issues. Asking how a patient wishes to be addressed, making sure that patients are not kept waiting, helping to process the paperwork and forms, respecting the needs and concerns of each person who walks in the door – these are qualities that support our office philosophy, “total patient care.”
